FFA CORNER 2018-2019
BAILEY - I am a senior at Chillicothe High School and have been a member of the Chillicothe FFA Chapter for four years. I have earned my Greenhand FFA Degree, Chapter FFA Degree, and Area FFA Degree. Outside of FFA, I participate in CHS softball and track and have been a manager for the CHS wrestling team for two years. The organizations I'm involved in are National Honor Society, Student Council, C Club, band, and CHS flag corp. After school, I will be attending Missouri Western State University to study nursing. The Chillicothe FFA Chapter has taught me many skills that will help me accomplish great things in the nursing profession. As a member of FFA, I learned responsibility and perseverance. My SAE began with raising two non-breeding dogs; and, over the years, I added two placement jobs. I learned the importance of responsibility and expanded my knowledge of making financial decisions. Over the years, I improved my SAE efficiently and financially by setting goals. By keeping records for my SAE, I learned perseverance as I strived to accomplish these goals. My favorite FFA memories include our monthly meetings and chapter activities, especially mud volleyball. I am grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of this amazing organization. DRAKE - I am a senior at Chillicothe High School and have been a member of the Chillicothe FFA Chapter for four years. Through FFA, I currently hold the State FFA Degree. My SAE projects over the years have consisted of working for Pro Lawn Cuts as a landscaper and now working for Bob Dimmit as a farm hand. I enjoy everything about FFA - from the monthly meetings to going to class every day. I have learned many skills around the ag farm such as learning to drive a tractor and skid steer, to pouring concrete. After high school, I plan to attend the Missouri Welding Institute. Upon graduation from MWI, I plan to travel all over the country welding on the pipeline.
Hi my name is Patrick, and I'm a sophomore at Southwest High School. This year, I am involved in basketball, track, and student council at SWHS. I am also an active member of the Dawn Sunrise Hustlers 4-H Club in Dawn, MO. My SAE project consists of breeding, raising, selling, and showing goats. I enjoy going to work with my dad at Trans Ova and learning about new genetics. I also like to learn about the artificial insemination breeding technology. My favorite FFA activity is probably mud volleyball because you get to hang out with your friends, get dirty, and have a great time! I also enjoy meeting new people at activities our FFA chapter attends. In FFA, I have achieved my Greenhand FFA Degree and am working toward the Chapter FFA Degree. While participating in FFA, I hope to earn my American FFA Degree at the end of all this. With my career, I hope to major in animal science and become a small/large animal veterinarian. FFA has helped me understand about keeping records and learning about plants and animals. Hi, my name is Spencer, and I'm enrolled at Chillicothe High School as a sophomore. My SAE involves raising and showing market swine. I am involved in golf and basketball at CHS. I have my Greenhand FFA Degree and am currently working on my Chapter FFA Degree. My favorite FFA activity is mud volleyball. I enjoy competitive sports and hanging out with friends, and this involves both of them. The FFA program has helped me with my leadership and public speaking abilities. My career goal is to study pharmacy at a university and come back to Chillicothe to work.
Hi, my name is Parker, and I'm a sophomore at Southwest High School. My SAE is raising market hogs. I am involved with football and trap shooting. My favorite FFA activity is mud volleyball. My favorite FFA activities are mud volleyball and Barnwarming. Agriculture has helped me become more outgoing and has opened more doors for me to decide on what future career I should pursue.
Hello, my name is Morgan, and I am a sophomore at Southwest R-1 High School and a member of the Chillicothe FFA Chapter. Outside of FFA, I participate in football, basketball, track, quiz bowl, baseball, FCCLA, 4-H, and trapshooting. My SAE involves growing soybeans and corn, and I also raise pigs and chickens. I currently have my Greenhand FFA Degree and am working toward earning my Chapter FFA Degree. My favorite FFA activity is trapshooting because I enjoy shooting guns and the competition. FFA has helped me grow in a positive way by helping me become less than terrible with my public speaking skills, and it has also helped me make new friends. I currently hold the Greenhand FFA Degree and am working toward earning my Chapter FFA Degree. My favorite FFA activity is mud volleyball because it's a fun time to play with friends. FFA has taught me how people make a living breeding animals. When I graduate, I want to be an engineer.
Hello my name is Evan, and I'm a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. I currently hold my Greenhand FFA Degree, and I'm working toward my Chapter FFA Degree. My SAE project is raising and selling sweet corn. My favorite FFA activity is mud volleyball because there's more than just work and business in FFA. Hello, my name is Seth, and I'm a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. I currently have the Greenhand FFA Degree and am working toward my Chapter FFA Degree. My Supervised Agricultural Experience is sheep production, where I keep a herd of 23 ewes and rams. This past year, I was able to participate in the local speaking contest. I was also able to be a member of the FFA Knowledge Team, where my team placed 9th at the Missouri State FFA Convention, and I placed 12th individually. This year, I am excited to be serving on the Chillicothe Assistant Officer Team. My favorite part of FFA is going on trips when I am able to see friends from other chapters and meet new people. Through FFA, my leadership skills have greatly increased by participating in as many activities, meetings, contests, retreats, or conferences as I can. After college, I hope to work in conservation or parks and recreation.
Hello, my name is Makenna, and I'm a sophomore at Southwest Livingston R-1 High School. My SAE project consists of raising and showing cattle. Things I am involved in include FCCLA, FFA, 4-H, and SHS girls' basketball, golf, track, and football manager. So far, I have earned the Greenhand FFA Degree, and I am currently working toward the Chapter FFA Degree. My favorite FFA activity is by far mud volleyball; it is very competitive as well as a lot of fun! By participating in FFA, I hope to receive my American FFA Degree, and gain leadership, and communication skills. I really enjoy being a part of the Chillicothe FFA chapter because I have been able to meet so many new people through FFA activities and learn more about agriculture and leadership. After high school, I hope to major in some kind of animal science field. I can proudly say that Chillicothe FFA has definitely made a positive difference in my life! Hello my name is Trace. My SAE consists of hogs and hay production. My favorite FFA activity is mud volleyball. Though FFA I have improved in public speaking and overall knowledge of how a farm should efficiently work. I plan to go to college at MU and major in Ag Science.
Hello my name is Jaden, and I attend Chillicothe High School where I'm a sophomore. My SAE project is babysitting. I have my Greenhand FFA Degree, and I am currently working toward my Chapter FFA Degree. My favorite FFA activity is mud volleyball because you can have fun with your friends and raise money to help others. I am stepping out of my comfort zone by speaking in front of a group of people. My career goal is to become a veterinarian. Hi, my name is Sullevin, and I'm in the 10th grade at Southwest High School. My SAE is working for Otto Reem Farms and selling deer blinds. At SHS, I'm involved in football and baseball, and I do trapshooting for FFA. I have my Greenhand FFA Degree and am working toward my Chapter FFA Degree. My favorite FFA activity is trapshooting because it's competitive, and I get to shoot a gun for a school activity. FFA has helped me become more confident speaking in front of people and lead me to my career goals by allowing me to speak more fluently in large groups.
Hello, my name is Megan, and I'm a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. I currently hold my Greenhand FFA Degree and am working toward my Chapter FFA Degree. My SAE project is market hogs. FFA has improved my speaking and leadership skills and has gotten me more involved in things such as mud volleyball and that was my favorite activity I participated in because my dad played on the parent team, and it was funny to watch. My name is Tucker, and I attend Chillicothe High School as a sophomore. I have the Greenhand FFA Degree and am working for my Chapter FFA Degree. My favorite activity in FFA is Barnwarming because we get to help people in the community. My SAEs are swine production and working for Trans Ova Genetics. In swine production, I buy and raise show pigs that I show in the MPA Youth Show Pig Circuit, county fairs, and State Fair. At Trans Ova, my job consists of helping with daily chores, mowing and weed eating. In the future, I would like to work in the agriculture field. At CHS I participate in basketball, baseball, and shoot trap for the Chillicothe FFA Chapter. This year, I grew through FFA by learning that eventually hard work pays off.
Hello, my name is Matney, and I'm a sophomore at Southwest Livingston R-1 High School. My SAE project currently consists of breeding, raising, and showing cattle as well as producing and selling sweet corn. I am currently involved in SWHS basketball, track, cheerleading, FCCLA, FBLA, Student Council, and 4-H. The furthest degree I have earned is the Greenhand FFA Degree, and I'm currently working toward earning my Chapter FFA Degree. I enjoy all of our FFA activities but my favorite has to be mud volleyball. It's a great way to be competitive with friends and it's always a lot of fun. While participating in FFA, I hope to earn my American FFA Degree. Hello, my name is Tucker. I go to Chillicothe High School where I am a sophomore. Currently my highest degree is the Greenhand FFA Degree and am now working on earning my Chapter FFA Degree. My favorite FFA activity is working at the children's petting zoo at the Chautauqua in the Park. The Chautauqua is my favorite activity because I get to interact with younger and older people of our society. My SAE is swine production wherein I show my hogs at the Livingston County Fair and the Missouri State Fair. I am involved in many sports and groups, such as baseball, football, and FCA. FFA has helped me better manage my money and become more comfortable speaking around crowds. I would like to further my education in the conservation field.
Hello my name is Madison, and I'm a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. At the moment, I have my Greenhand FFA Degree and am working toward my Chapter FFA Degree. I plan to continue to work at J's Burger Dive for my SAE project. My personal favorite event in FFA is mud volleyball. I enjoy hanging out with friends and having fun in the mud. As of now, I am involved with CHS cheerleading and possibly girls' soccer. I really enjoy working with children and nursing; so after high school, I hope to pursue a career with that. FFA has helped me become a more open and outgoing person who is a lot more involved. After graduating from CHS, I plan to attend NCMC for two years and transfer to MWSU for a Bachelor's Degree in Child Advocacy. I plan on becoming an RN after getting my CNA from Grand River Technical School. Hello my name is Warren, and I'm a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. I currently have my Greenhand FFA Degree, and I'm working toward my Chapter FFA Degree. My SAE is diversified crop production. My favorite part of FFA is being an assistant officer as it has helped me boost my leadership and communication skills. My career goals are to earn a doctorate degree and become a geologist in the petroleum and natural gas industry.
Hi, my name is Haylee, and I'm a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. My SAE is a seasonal job as a lifeguard at the Trenton Family Aquatic Center, but I hope to get a job at Chilli Bay in the summer. At CHS I play volleyball. I have my Greenhand FFA Degree and am working toward my Chapter FFA Degree. My favorite FFA event is Barnwarming because I love the dancing, and it is super fun. One of my personal goals I want to learn from FFA is becoming better at public speaking. My career goal is to be a vet; and I think FFA will help me reach my goal. Howdy, I'm Donald, and I'm a sophomore at Chillicothe High School where I play football, wrestle, and run track; I'm also in the History Club and CHS Drumline. My favorite FFA activity is by far mud volleyball. It never really appealed to me until I tried it and discovered it was really fun. FFA has helped me grow by learning how to manage my finances. My career goal in life is to serve at least four years in the Marine Corps.
Hello, my name is Lydia, and I'm a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. In FFA, my favorite activity is Barnwarming because trying to raise the most money out of all the classes is always so fun, and dancing at Barnwarming is a blast. I currently hold my Greenhand FFA Degree, and I am working toward my Chapter FFA Degree. My SAE is vegetable production. FFA has helped me step out of my comfort zone by speaking to judges on the contest team and allowing me to have fun at FFA events on weekends such as area sports day in Cameron. When I graduate, I would like to attend KU and become a registered nurse or a physical therapist. Hi my name is Caden, and I'm in the 10th grade at Chillicothe High School. I currently hold the Greenhand FFA Degree but am working toward my Chapter FFA Degree. My favorite activity in FFA is Barnwarming because it gives people a chance to raise money for the FFA organization. Outside of FFA, I play football and wrestle at CHS. Hello, my name is Lily, and I'm a sophomore at Southwest R-I High School. As of now, I am involved in FCCLA, FFA, SWHS basketball, SWHS Track, and I am a manager for SWHS football. After graduating high school, I plan to attend a four-year college, majoring in business and photography. At the moment, I have my Greenhand FFA Degree, and I'm working on earning my Chapter FFA Degree. Personally, my favorite thing about FFA are the meetings we attend. Almost all of the meetings we have are based around fun activities, like mud volleyball and bowling. For my SAE project I plan to breed, show, and sell beef cows, as well as babysit. FFA has helped me open myself up to new things and to new people. It has also taught me leadership skills that will be valuable in my future. I am involved in 4-H, football, baseball, FCA, band, Key Club, and History Club. My Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) is raising and showing my goats. I'm working on expanding that by applying for a job at Hy-Vee. FFA has helped develop my speaking skills and express myself more as a person. One activity that has helped with that is mud volleyball. With all that I have learned from CHS and FFA, I wish to be a helpful member in the Missouri Judicial Branch.
Hi my name is Julia, and I'm a sophomore at the Chillicothe High School. I have my Greenhand FFA Degree, and I'm working toward my Chapter FFA Degree. My SAE is Diversified Agricultural Production. I raise pigs and cattle and show my pigs at county and state level. My favorite activity in FFA is Barnwarming because I get to help others. FFA has helped my life by showing me leadership and getting me out of my box. My name is Lincoln, and I'm a sophomore at Southwest R-1 School. My SAE is recycling aluminum and metal, as well as working for farmers. I am the manager for the Southwest football team. I also enjoy riding my 4-wheeler and hunting. I have my Greenhand FFA Degree and am working to earn my Chapter FFA Degree this year. My favorite FFA activity is the Christmas party because I enjoy spending time with friends, and there is food. The FFA has helped me learn more about welding and animal reproduction. I am going to take what I have learned to help me in the future farming.
I'm Lucy Gaston, and I'm a sophomore at Chillicothe High School and am a part of the Chillicothe FFA Chapter. I currently have my Greenhand FFA Degree and am working toward earning my Chapter FFA Degree this year. My SAE is with cattle production. One thing I have developed the most through FFA is stepping out of my comfort zone and trying new things. My favorite activity has been Barnwarming because I like going out and working together to earn money for our chapter and then getting rewarded with a dance! My name is Hannah, and I attend Chillicothe High School as a sophomore. I'm involved in the CHS winter dance team, soccer, JSP, Student Council, and Key Club. The favorite things about FFA are the September meeting and mud volleyball because it's fun to see the teachers and students play around and have a good time. My highest degree in FFA is the Greenhand FFA Degree, and I am currently working toward my Chapter FFA Degree. My SAE is showing my market hogs at the county fair. FFA has taught me many leadership and speaking skills, as well as showed me many different career ideas in agriculture I can choose from in the future. My name is Emily, and I'm a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. At school, I am involved in student council and volleyball. I currently hold my Greenhand FFA Degree and am working for my Chapter FFA Degree. My SAE project is lifeguard at the YMCA in Chillicothe. My favorite activities in FFA are mud volleyball and the contest team. I was a part of Conduct of Chapter Meeting. I enjoy those because you are interacting with friends and being involved. FFA has helped me be more confident speaking in front of people. My career goals are to go to college and get a degree in the medical field. Hi my name is Kale, and I'm a sophomore at Southwest R-1 High School. My SAE is raising row crops and operating heavy equipment. I am involved in 4H in which I shoot shotgun, and I'm also a part of the Chillicothe FFA Trapshooting team. I have my Greenhand FFA Degree and am now working on my Chapter FFA Degree. My favorite activity in FFA is trapshooting because I like shooting guns. In FFA I'm furthering my education in agriculture that will be beneficial to me in my future career. My career goals are to graduate high school and get a good job running a track hoe on the pipeline or go to college and come back home to the family farm.
Hi, my name is Ava, and I'm a sophomore at Chillicothe High School where I am involved in STUCO, FFA, JSP, CHS Dance Team, and CHS Soccer. I really enjoy being a part of FFA because it teaches me leadership and responsibility. I am currently working toward earning my Chapter FFA Degree and am excited to further my education in Ag. The best part of FFA is getting to meet new people and having fun. Hi, my name is Chase, and I'm a sophomore at Southwest R-1 High School. During school, I play basketball, football, and run track and am also involved in FCCLA and student council. After graduation, I plan to go to a four-year college pursuing a degree in agriculture. Currently, my highest FFA degree is the Greenhand FFA Degree. This year, I will be working toward receiving my Chapter FFA Degree. For my SAE project, I mow lawns and work for farmers and other people who are looking for hired hands. My favorite activity in FFA is being part of the trap shooting team. It is always fun to go be competitive with your friends and bust some clays. The other thing that is fun is the FFA Mud Volleyball tournament. You can get REALLY muddy and also have a chance to show up your ag advisors. Lastly, in FFA I hope to gain leadership skills, speaking skills, and learn more about animal science, plant science, and agriculture.
Hello! My name is Brooke, and I'm currently a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. My SAE project is producing and selling vegetables. At CHS I'm involved in FFA, Hunting & Fishing Club, softball and basketball. I currently have my Greenhand FFA Degree and I'm working on my Chapter FFA Degree. My favorite FFA activities are trapshooting, Barnwarming, and mud volleyball because I get to meet new people and participate in things I enjoy. FFA has impacted my personal growth by introducing me to new people and teaching me how to talk in public confidently. My career goals are to become a teacher and a coach. I have received my Greenhand FFA Degree and am working toward my Chapter FFA Degree. One of my favorite FFA activities is the September meeting/mud volleyball and getting to play against the parents. FFA has a huge impact on my life by helping my leadership skills, public speaking skills, getting to meet many other FFA members at activities and see how FFA has affected their lives, and making new friends. My career goals are to return to the family farm and be a farmer.
My name is Aundraya, and I'm a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. My SAE project is raising, showing, and breeding goats. I am involved in the Chillicothe FFA Chapter, the Chillicothe Cheer team, the Chillicothe Signets, and the CHS players. I also participate in the All Star Swarm cheer team at The Hive. I recently received my Greenhand FFA Degree and am working toward earning my Chapter FFA Degree. My favorite FFA activity is learning in class to become a better FFA participant. I love the experience and knowledge it gives and allows me to have. FFA has made me realize not to take things for granted and helps me communicate with others. I plan to attend college at Missouri State University and receive my Bachelor in Fine Arts and a minor in music education. Hi, my name is Chandler, and I'm a sophomore at the Chillicothe High School. My SAE involves cattle production. I am involved in FFA, 4-H the Chillicothe baseball team, and the 4-H/FFA Trap Shooting Team. I have received my Greenhand FFA Degree and am working toward my Chapter FFA Degree. My favorite FFA activity is definitely Mud Volleyball because it creates competition for me and allows me to spend quality time around my friends and family. FFA is helping me develop in my personal growth by teaching me to handle my finances the best that I possibly can. My career goals are to return to the family farm and be a full time cattle farmer.
My name is Gabby and I'm currently a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. My SAE project is beef production, and I also keep records on my show cattle. I currently have my Greenhand FFA Degree and am working toward my Chapter FFA Degree. My favorite FFA activity is mud volleyball because it's a good time and a fun way to get everyone involved. FFA has helped me learn more about what I want to do in the future with my career which is working with cattle genetics and increasing the quality of my own herd. I am also involved in CHS golf and soccer and show cattle and hogs through FFA and the Springhill Go-Getters 4-H Club. Hello, my name is Jessee, and I'm in FFA as a sophomore at CHS. I currently hold my Greenhand FFA Degree and am working toward my Chapter FFA Degree. My favorite activity is mud volleyball because it allows you to meet new people and get to know each other better. The whole time I've been in FFA has allowed me to get out of my comfort zone. I try my best to attend all the activities. My SAE is helping my grandparents with their garden and cutting wood for them. My career plans include joining the military or remaining as an employee at Hy-Vee.
My name is Delaney. I am a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. At school , I am involved in Student Council, JSP, tennis, dance team, and track. I currently hold the Greenhand FFA Degree and look forward to earning my Chapter FFA Degree. My SAE is showing hogs at the county fair. My favorite FFA activity is mud volleyball because I like to spend time with my friends and be competitive at the same time. FFA has helped me with public speaking and not being afraid to meet new people. In the future I would like to become a pediatrician or dentist.

 

Hi, my name Is Colby. I am currently a sophomore at CHS. My SAE is raising show hogs, cattle, and a garden. I am involved in FFA by being an Assistant Officer. I went to nearly every event this last year such as mud volleyball, contest team, Barnwarming, North Central Missouri Fair, Livingston County Fair, and the Missouri State Fair. I have my Greenhand FFA Degree and am working on my Chapter FFA Degree. My favorite FFA activity would be showing hogs. FFA has challenged me by taking the role in raising money for Barnwarming and learning to raise and show hogs. My career goal is to be an Ag teacher or an Agriculture Entrepreneur.
Hi! My name is Mason, and I am currently a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. My SAE project consists of raising sheep and growing crops. I also hope to start raising cattle in the near future. I am involved in soccer, basketball, baseball, and student council. I am working to earn my Chapter FFA Degree this year. One thing I enjoy through FFA is the assistant officer retreats because we went to the lake and tubed, and there are many more activities during these retreats. FFA has helped me talk more confidently to people whom I don't know. Hi, my name is Mollie, and I am a sophomore at CHS. Currently I am involved in the CHS softball team, the Winter Dance Team, Student Council, C Club, and Junior Sorosis Pledges. My SAE project is keeping records on my uncle's cattle and working at Chillicothe's Fast Lanes. The highest FFA degree I have earned is the Chapter FFA Degree. Mud Volleyball is by far my favorite FFA activity because you get to hang out with your friends and family and overall have a good time. Through FFA I hope to become more outgoing and involved in Ag/FFA to become better prepared for my career whether it is ag related or not.
I am Chloe, and I'm a sophomore at Chillicothe High School and part of the Chillicothe FFA Chapter. I'm working hard to achieve my Chapter FFA Degree as the Chillicothe FFA Assistant Historian. My SAE project is market hogs and working at Bachman Cattle Farms. I enjoy serving others because I like to see them achieve great things. I also enjoy going to the Chautauqua Petting Zoo because I love animals and seeing children learn something new or just have a fun time playing with the animals. I hope to be a 2019-2020 Chapter Officer. FFA has taught me to get out of my box and try new things. Hello, my name is Sheldon, and I'm a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. My favorite FFA activity is mud volleyball because I enjoy spending time with my friends and being competitive. In school, I am involved in wrestling, soccer, and FFA. While in ag, I hope to become a better public speaker and develop better leadership skills. Ag has opened my eyes to many different career options I can choose from for my future.
Hi, my name is Ashton, and I'm a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. My favorite activity in FFA is Barnwarming because it is fun and in a country environment. I joined FFA because I enjoy working with and learning about animals. I look forward to furthering my knowledge about agriculture. FFA has helped me get out of my shell a little bit by talking in front of a group. My SAE is raising chickens and market hogs then selling the eggs. I currently have my Chapter FFA Degree. Hello. My name is Carson, and I'm currently attending Chillicothe High School. My favorite FFA activities are mud volleyball and the participation trip because I get to have fun while being involved. FFA has helped me in terms of work and handling my money. My SAEs are working on my grandpa's farm and referring soccer. I currently have my Chapter FFA Degree. My career goal is to go to law school and become an attorney. I am currently involved in soccer, tennis, winter soccer, and band at CHS.
